NanoFlow Microvalves
NanoFlow is an electrically actuated flow control microvalve designed to precisely control flow of liquids and gases. It features a precision actuator based on KelvinAll, Energens proprietary smart material, which has an operating range from near absolute zero to above room temperature.
Recently, the company developed and delivered proportional flow control valves used in semiconductor test equipment to control refrigerant flow. Beta testing of the valve has demonstrated superior performance as compared to existing solutions. This valve technology can easily be scaled to larger or smaller flow rates.

For automotive applications, a similar valve can precisely deliver fuel to the engine in the form of a fuel injector. Because these flow control valves can operate over a wide range of temperatures, they can be installed in the intake manifold or on individual cylinders. Their millisecond response time enables them to adjust instantaneously to rapidly changing operating conditions while the precision flow metering capability delivers the optimum fuel/air mixture to the engine. The result is a more efficient and responsive vehicle.
