Energen, Inc. is a minority-owned, engineering and product development company located in the technology-rich suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. Energen's mission is to solve our customers' unique problems in precision positioning and vibration control by developing custom solutions to meet their needs. Our solutions are based on patented magnetic "smart" materials - the only materials available that deliver precision motion in combination with extremely high forces and operate reliably from near absolute zero to above room temperature. 

Founded in 1996, Energen has assembled a world-class engineering staff which includes PhD scientists in mechanical engineering, controls and materials science. Its staff holds over 20 patents, and has authored over one hundred articles in peer-reviewed journals. 

Since its founding, Energen has participated in the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program, which has provided a total of $6 million in funding for research and product development.  We leverage the SBIR awards to develop products and improve our core technology, enhancing the value and growth prospects of our business.  Energen today has delivered over 30 custom solutions, solving demanding vibration isolation and precision positioning challenges for its government and commercial clients.

Our patented material, KelvinAll®, has been proven to provide high-force motion in a compact package anywhere from 2K (-271°C) to above room temperature with minimal change in sensitivity.
